Join award-winning garden designer Tom Massey for a tour of the IQL 'mobile' Orchard and the Hothouse and learn more about the role of sustainability, biodiversity and the circular economy in cities and workplaces of the future.
Climate change is already changing how we grow and cultivate crops in the UK. The Hothouse, a structure reminiscent of a Victorian glasshouse, provides a controlled habitat for cultivating exotic plants and produce, and will provide a backdrop for a conversation about London's rising temperatures - how do diets and agriculture need to adapt?
The tour will be followed by a food and drink reception and discussion on the role of urban greening in workplaces and wellbeing in Workable, the co-working space on the 19th floor of 1 Westfield Avenue. Rachel Edwards, Workplace Futures Lead at Lendlease, will lead the session, sharing more on IQL's exciting vision and other examples of its sustainability commitments in action - including urban farm from Crate to Plate.
Food and drink will be provided by local IQL suppliers with a sustainable twist and guests can enjoy spectacular views from the 19th floor across the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
